    This is the final volume in Wells's trilogy of political volumes, and follows 'The Outline of History' and 'The Science of Life'. 

    These works were written in the hopes that they would help to establish a progressive world government, a cause he had promoted from the 1920s.

    Rebound in half morocco, with endpapers renewed. Retaining the original half title.

    With the bookplate of Alexander Stone to the front free endpaper, and a contemporary Christmas gift inscription to a front blank.

    Rebound in half morocco, with cloth covered boards. Endpapers renewed. Gilt detailing to back strip. Externally, excellent. A touch of rubbing to front joint. Bookplate to front free endpaper, and inscription to a front blank. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
