Description

Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Uncommon

Containing the first and second Mister Tootleoo books for children written by Bernard Darwin and illustrated by his wife Elinor Darwin in one volume, first edition thus. With black and white illustrations in text.

The original tales were published separately in 1925 and 1927 with colourful illustrations, true first editions went out of print.

Condition

In the original publisher's binding over paper covered boards. Externally sound with minor shelf wear, lightly chipped to spine and along the joints, boards marked. Internally, firmly bound. Spotting to first and last few leaves particularly, otherwise pages generally very clean throughout.
