Bound in a very smart half calf prize binding. With the crest of Repton School to the front board. This work comprises of Lord Macaulay's Literary and Historical essays, as called for. His Historical Essays have a separate pagination but are complete. With a frontispiece with Macaulay. Thomas Babington Macaulay was a British historian and Whig politician. This work has essays on a range of subjects including Milton, William Pitt, Lord Bacon, Madame D'Arblay and the War of Succession in Spain.

Condition

In a half calf binding with cloth covered boards. Externally, very smart with very little shelfwear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
