Written by Thomas Hardy, an English novelist and poet. A Victorian realist influenced by Romanticism, particularly the poetry of William Wordsworth.
In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear only. Original unclipped dust wrapper also smart with light chipping to the extremities. Sympathetically repaired with tape to the reverse at the head of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the odd handling mark.
