Illustrated with portrait frontispiece. A collection of poems, split into sections: Wessex Poems and Other Verses, Time's Laughingstocks and Other Verses, Late Lyrics and Earlier, Human Shows, Far Phantasies, Sons, and Trifles, and Winter Words in Various Moods and Metres. Written by Thomas Hardy, an English novelist and poet. A Victorian realist influenced by Romanticism, particularly the poetry of William Wordsworth.
Condition
In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear only. Original unclipped dust wrapper also smart with light chipping to the extremities. Sympathetically repaired with tape to the reverse at the head of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the odd handling mark.
