A fascinating and detailed travel work on Burma, written by Sir J. George Scott, a Scottish journalist and colonial administrator whose work was instrumental in establishing British colonial rule in Burma. 

The first edition of this scarce to find work. 

Illustrated with thirty-two plates and a folding map. Collated and complete.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, a few splits to the cloth on the spines, and some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Darkening to the spine and a few marks to the boards. Internally, front hinge is strained, remaining binding is generally firm. Pages are generally bright and clean.
