    Illustrated, Limited Edition

    A sample for the Golden Cockerel Press' 1932 limited edition work. The finished bound work was limited to three-hundred and seven copies, however this sample does not have a limitation page. The sample contains only the first sixteen pages, the full work's pagination being 40 pages.

    'A German Idyll' is a fictionalised account of Bates' 1927 trip to Ibsen, Germany.

    Illustrated throughout.

    Written by H. E. Bates, a noted twentieth century novelist, best known for 'The Darling Buds of May'.

    Illustrated by Lynton Lamb.

    Condition

    Disbound. Externally, the outer leaves are bright and clean. Internally, disbound, as issued. Pages are bright and clean.
