The first trade edition of this charming study by Henry Williamson, wildlife author. The first true edition was published in the same year in a limited issue of seventy five copies on handmade paper signed by the author.

In this volume, Williamson discusses stag hunting in England, from a logistical, ethical, and economical point of view. 

With the price-clipped dust wrapper with original pricing of 11/- Net still present.

Condition

In the original publisher's orange paper covered boards. externally excellent with only minor shelf wear and a slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. The dust wrapper is price clipped and excellent with only minor shelf wear and edge wear, and a slight sunning to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. The page are clean with only a minor touch of age toning.
