Henry Craddock was one of the most famous bartenders of the 1920s and 30s, working at the Savoy Hotel for eighteen years. He joined the Hotel in 1920, after feeling America during Prohibition.
Craddock is credited with creating many cocktails, including Corpse Reviver #2 and White Lady.
Illustrated with colourful Art Deco borders and decorations throughout, by Gilbert Rumbold.
Condition
In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding with paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart. Light bumping to the extremities. Minor rubbing to the boards, resulting in a small patch of loss to the head of the front board. Marks to the boards, a little heavier to the rear. Small tear to the tail of the rear joint. Spots to the fore edge. Front hinge is tender, rear hinge is strained. Small tidemark to the tail of the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with scattered spots. Mark to the margin of page 23/24.
