First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Signed, With Dustwrapper
Signed by the illustrator to the recto of front endpaper 'To Robbie from Clifford Webb Nov 1931'. The inscription is to Robert Cleveland-Stevens. Possibly Captain Bobby Cleveland-Stevens of the Welsh Guards.
Webb illustrated the first two Swallows and Amazons books.
With the original exceptionally scarce unclipped dustwrapper in a fantastic condition.
The dustwrapper has been subject to some professional repairs, that are imperceptible externally.

Dustwrapper is in a lovely condition. Professional repairs to the head and tail of wraps internally. Minor offsetting to the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
