An impressive compilation of minutes of evidence taken from the Committee on Industry and Trade between 1924-1927. The evidence was received from 213 witnesses, representing 94 organisations, as well as 27 independent witnesses.
The Committee on Industry and Trade, also known as the Balfour Report (it was chaired by the industrialist Arthur Balfour) was set up to discover the reasons for the United Kingdom's economic decline since the Great War.

In full cloth Institute of Banker's library binding. Externally, smart. With rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Front board label has a couple chips. Marks to the boards and the Institute of Banker's list of regulations tipped in to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with slight offsetting to the front free endpaper and the odd spot or mark.
