Description
Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding
A charming robinsonade by Jules Verne, originally published in 1882. The novel tells the story of Godfrey Morgan, a wealthy young man who embarks from San Francisco on a trip around the world via ocean with his deportment instructor. They both end up castaway on a deserted island, where they have to endure a series of tumultuous adventures.
A later edition in the original publisher's art nouveau, attractive cloth binding. This design is known as the 'feuilles d'acanthe' binding, which was first introduced in 1906.
Illustrated in text throughout by L. Bennett, including the frontispiece and the vignette title page.
