In the original unclipped dust wrapper, scarce to see.
A reproduction of the journals of the parson-naturalist Gilbert White, which he kept for twenty-five years.
White is best known for his 'Natural History and Antiquities of Selborne', an influential work on antiquities and the natural history of Selborne, a village in East Hampshire, England.
Illustrated with a frontispiece, one map, three plates, and in-text illustrations throughout. Collated, complete.

Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. A few very light marks to the cloth. Small chip to the spine. Spots to the fore edge. Dust wrapper is edge worn with chips and closed tears, heavier to the spine. Wraps are spotted. Spine is age-toned. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with a few scattered spots to the first and last few pages.
