1934 The Nine Tailors
What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition
The first edition, first impression. Lacking the very scarce original dust wrapper. The Nine Tailors is the ninth novel to feature Lord Peter Wimsey and is set in the Lincolnshire Fens, with the story concerning a group of bell-ringers at the local parish church. Widely considered her best work, Sayers can perhaps be forgiven for the minor criticism regarding her inaccurate campanology details. Sayers was a prolific author of crime fiction during the Golden Age of Detective Fiction, and one of the 'Queens of Crime', alongside notable others such as Agatha Christie and Ngaio Marsh. A smart copy of Sayers' finest literary achievement.
