One of the most renowned crime writers of all time, Agatha Christie (1890-1976) was the author of some sixty-six detective novels and fourteen short story collections. The majority of her works followed the well-loved Belgian detective Hercule Poirot or spinster sleuth Miss Marple.

This copy has been trimmed down and rebound in a contemporary full cloth binding. It is possible a former owner had this trimmed to sit uniformly with other books on their shelf. Former owner's notations in pencil to the front endpaper.
This is an uncommon work, important amongst Christie's novels.
Condition
In a contemporary cloth binding. Externally generally smart; spine is a little faded, and the boards are a little worn, with tidemarks. Pencil inscriptions to the front endpaper indicating some proof errors to pages 12 and 77. Internally, binding is a touch tender from page 243; otherwise firmly bound. This copy has been trimmed down when rebound. Tape reinforcements to the gutter in places. Pages are bright with the occasional spot.
