First UK edition. Featuring numerous photographic plates, made by the author, and maps, throughout including coloured plates to endpapers. Written by fellow of the Royal Geographical Society; Member of the French Geographical Society; and Professor of Dermatology at the University of Kansas.

Condition

In original cloth binding with gilt lettering to the spine. Externally, light rubbing and bumping to extremities and front board. Internally, generally firmly bound, extremely bright and clean, aside from light off-setting to endpapers. Ink inscription to endpaper.
