    Description

    Colour Plates, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

    With copious lettered advertisements to the front of the text, and numbered supplement advertisements to the rear. Featuring an attractive sixty four page coloured 'Union-Castle Atlas', depicting local topography, steamship routes, and railway routes.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original cloth binding with pictorial boards. Externally, minor shelfwear to extremities, bumping to head and tail of spine. Slight fading to spine. Prior owner's ink inscription to front board. Front hinge strained and showing cords to adverts, still reasonably firm. Internally generally firmly bound. Binding tender only to adverts to front of text, with adverts P to U, and Z/Z1 detached but present. Pages age toned only to adverts, otherwise bright and clean with the odd spot largely to fore edge of text, only visible to textblock. Prior owner's ink inscription to advert 'B', dated 'Oct 1929'. The odd pencil inscription by prior owner to the occasional page.
