Description

Very Scarce

A 1930 poster advertising the Friday, August 15th, 1930 auction of a small country property known as "Maggotts", located close to Pleshey Village in Essex, about eight miles from Chelmsford.

Located on a two and a half acre plot, the detached thatched cottage boasted four bedrooms, electric lights, and an adjoining paddock.

The auction was held at 4pm at the Chelmsford Corn Exchange, and the previous owner was one D. D. Brown, who was selling "Maggots" because he was going abroad.

Condition

Unbound, as issued. A single leaf poster, printed on one side. Two minor closed tears to folds. Recto clean and bright, with small mark to head of verso.
