What Our Customers Say...

Description

Early Edition, First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce

A selection of two works by Hugh Redwood, author and religious editor of The New Chronicles of London. A first paperback edition of God in the Slums, identified through the lack of date on the volume from the same copy on Jisc, dated [1930], and an early reprint of God in the Shadows, published in the same year as the first impression, 1932.

Both works relate to Christianity, God in the Slums concerns God and His impact to the life of many people who live in poverty, while God in the Shadows is a semi-autobiographical work regarding also the Salvation Army.

Both volumes in their original publisher's wraps, both designed by Frank Brangwyn.
