Including an introduction by the author entitled My Skirmish with Jolly Roger, which deals with his experiences of pirated copies of the novel, the work is a particularly unusual edition of this influential work.

Condition

In paper wraps. Externally, there is wear to the wraps, with age-toning, loss and tearing, as well as an ink inscription and failed hinges. Internally, the binding is tender but holding throughout, and the pages are age-toned and lightly spotted in certain areas, with some handling marks.
