In 1925 Shaw was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature and was considered the leading dramatist of his generation, using his plays as a way of incorporating his views on political, social and religious ideas. The work is an exceptional example of the complete limited edition collection of the works of Shaw, all of which are presented in their original unclipped dustwrappers. The set includes not only the dramatic works for which Shaw is perhaps best known, but also a range of his non-fiction writings, many of which hugely influenced the more well-known dramatic work.
