Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

This is a unique anthology by the Nonesuch Press, first published in 1924, going through 21 editions to 1929 due to its immense popularity.

This work includes a variety of poems, songs, and articles, such as 'Hate Poems', 'State Poems', along with pieces on law, food, birdsong, and even first aid.

Illustrated with a colour title page, and fourteen colour illustrations, as well as in-text illustrations throughout.

Collated, all illustrations are present. Two leaves of the 'Qualities' section to the rear have been excised.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally smart, with a bit of bumping to the head and tail of the spine. The cloth is bright with a colourful blue, black, and white pattern. Small cracks to the joints, heavier to the rear joint, along with some slight wear to the extremities. Blind stamp on rear end paper. Ink writing on the front endpaper from previous owner. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean, with the occasional light spot, with brightly coloured heading illustrations throughout the book. Two leaves of the 'Qualities' section to the rear have been excised.
