This is a copy of the seventh publication of the voyages of the Cabots by the Argonaut Press and is limited to 1050 copies on Japon Vellum. This copy is unnumbered. 

1929 The Voyages of the Cabots and the English Discovery of North America under Henry VII and Henry VIII contains a history of English exploration and discovery of the North Americas sources from short pieces, administrative documents, contemporary letters, and extracts from histories and commentaries written in the sixteenth century. 

The volume is divided into two parts, the first considering the Documents and Extracts from Contemporary Works and the second giving an account of the History of the English Expeditions to North America Under Henry VII and Henry VIII. 

With twelve maps and a folding map frontispiece. 
Collated, complete.

A bookplate for Ronald Knox Library in Prinknash Abbey. Ronald Knox was a Roman Catholic Priest, theologian, author of detective stories as well as a writer and a regular broadcaster for BBC Radio.

Condition

In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally, lovely with some light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. A bookplate to the front pastedown for Ronald Knox, an inscription dated '42 to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Some pages remain unopened.
