The Radio Times is a weekly magazine detailing broadcasts for radio and television, as well as other lifestyle articles and reviews. It was founded in 1923 as the first of its kind. Every Christmas since 1969, a two week issue is produced to cover schedules for the festive fortnight.
Comprises a number of short stories, as well as the broadcast directory. With recipes such as 'Stuffed Mutton' and 'Queen Victoria's Tapioca'. Short stories written by Elinor Mordaunt, Liam o'Flaherty, Compton Mackenzie, Ralph de Rohan and Harry Graham.
Contains full page and vignette publisher's advertisements throughout, including for 'Kodak film in the yellow carton'. 'Nestle's milk chocolate napolitains' and 'Player's uncut cigarettes'.
Condition
In paper wraps. Externally generally smart, the odd spot, pages roughly cut, some marks to the back wrap, front cover attached by only one staple and delicate. Internally firmly bound, pages bright and clean bar the odd spot.
