Thomas Wright's insightful biography into the life and work of William Blake.

Blake was a Romantic poet and painter, a seminal figure of the era. He wrote prophetic works, though he was largely unrecognised during his lifetime.

Volume I illustrated with a colour frontispiece, and forty-six monochrome plates. Collated, complete.

Volume II illustrated with a colour frontispiece, and thirty monochrome plates. Collated, complete.

Written by Thomas Wright, an English antiquarian.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spines and to the extremities. A few light marks to the boards and spines. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright with some spotting. Plate 51/52 with a closed tear to the head, not affecting image.
