Masefield (1878 – 1967) was an English poet and writer, and Poet Laureate of the United Kingdom from 1930 until his death in 1967. He is remembered as the author of the classic children's novels The Midnight Folk and The Box of Delights, and poems, including "The Everlasting Mercy" and "Sea-Fever". With the publisher's copyright notice bound in with dramatis personae page. Complete with original dustwrapper.
Condition
In a full cloth binding with original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, very smart indeed with lightest of shelfwear only. Dustwrapper is faded to extremities with a few small marks elsewhere but is remarkably complete for its age with just the smallest of chips to top edge. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean throughout with just the odd spot here and there.
