Description

Publishers' Original Binding

Fourth impression. In the publisher's original binding, this work is No. 2 of the Criterion Miscellany series. In this particular work Tomlinson discusses the French department of Cote D' Or in the French region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. With the previous owner's ink inscription to the front endpaper that reads 'With warmest Christmas wishes, H E Bates'. This appears to the the same H. E. Bates, the notes author of work such as ' Love for Lydia, The Darling Buds of May, and My Uncle Silas.'

Condition

In the publisher's original binding. Externally generally smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine, with sunning to the extremities of both the front and rear boards. Ink inscription to the front endpaper. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with a minor offsetting to the central pages toward the binding.
