Loosely inserted is the scarce publisher's promotional leaflet.

This is the first U.K edition of this work, translated into English from the original German by A W Wheen. 'All Quiet on the Western Front' is one of the most important and influential war novels, as it is written by a veteran of the First World War. This unique novel is told from the perspective of a German soldier at the front who is suffering from extreme physical and mental stress.
