Two volumes of works by August Strindberg, including The Road to Damascus and Easter and Other Plays.
August Strindberg was a Swedish playwright, novelist and poet who drew from his personal experiences to inform his writing. He wrote more than sixty plays during his career which spanned four decades.
Easter and Other Plays is a reprint copy published in 1929 and also includes the plays The Dance of Death, The Ghost Sonata and A Dream Play.
The Road to Damascus is a complex trilogy of plays. This English version is by Graham Rawson and has an introduction by Gunnar Ollen, being a first edition of this Jonathan Cape edition.
Both are in the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, generally lovely with some light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and light fading to the spines. Internally, both are firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
