    Description

    Folding Plates, Illustrated, Leather Binding, Original Binding

    Bound in full vellum. 

    Illustrated with an engraved vignette to the title page and two folding facsimile's of Lord Byron's handwriting. Collated, lacking frontispiece. 

    This work features the complete works of popular Lord Byron, a British poet and a major figure of the Romantic movement. The work also includes Byron's supressed poetry and a biography on his life, published only two years after his death.

    Condition

    Bound in full paper vellum. Externally smart with fading and marks to the boards and spine, bumping and wear to the extremities, a small closed tear to the head of the front joint and very small damp stains to the tail of the spine. Unnamed bookplate to the front pastedown with handling marks and spotting to the endpapers. Internally generally firmly bound with lightly age toned pages and spotting throughout. Lacking frontispiece. Past owner's signature to the title page dated 1826.
