What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce
The scarce first edition of this collection of surgical essays, with numerous illustrations, photographs, diagrams and x-rays.
This work was published in celebration of the 70th birthday of Sir Robert Jones, a Welsh orthopaedic surgeon who helped to establish the modern specialty of orthopaedic surgery in Britain. He was an early proponent of the use of radiography in orthopaedics, and described the eponymous Jones fracture.
Present within this volume are twenty four original papers from leading orthopaedic surgeons of the period, such as the important essay 'Orthopaedics before Stromeyer' by E. Muirhead Little.
