First UK edition, previously published in the US in 1927. A collection containing thirty-five of the author's moving poems, published in the inter-war period. Written by Siegfried Loraine Sassoon, an English war poet, writer, and soldier who was decorated for bravery on the Western Front, and became one of the leading poets of the First World War.

Condition

In the original full blue cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor wear to the extremities. Original unclipped dust wrapper is smart with light wear and the odd small closed tear to the extremities. Sunning to the spine and panel edges. Small tears to the spine. Sympathetic reinforcement made using paper tape to the internal side. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting predominantly to the first and last few pages. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper.
