Description

Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

Arthur Conan Doyle was a British writer and physician, most noted for his fictional stories about the detective Sherlock Holmes, which are generally considered milestones in the field of crime fiction.

Condition

In a blue blindstamped cloth binding with gilt detailing to the spine, with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, sound. Some light bumping to extremities, a little fading to the spine, and a few marks to boards. The dust wrapper has been preserved in a plastic wrapping , with some closed tears and some loss. Spine has been reinforced with tape. The front hinge is tender, rear hinge strained. Ink inscription to the front pastedown. Internally, the binding is strained. Pages are bright and generally clean with just a few handling marks.
