A fascinating volume looking into the architecture of 1920s Shanghai, a beautiful study of the most famous buildings in the city.

This period in Shanghai was very interesting, with the city becoming an increasingly important commercial centre in China and globally.

The introduction by Owen Mortimer Green to this work offers and concise discussion on the history of Shanghai as well as wondering about the future possibilities of the city.

Green was the editor of the 'North China Daily News'.
