A striking edition of the prayers of Robert Louis Stevenson, written at Vailima, a village in the capital of Samoa, known for being the location of the last residence of the beloved Scottish author of Treasure Island and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. These prayers originally appeared in 1904. 

The present copy is the fourth impression of the prayers to be fully reproduced in colours and gold after the original illuminated drawings by Alberto Sangorski. A stunning volume.

Condition

In the original publisher's binding with paper covered boards and titles in red to the front board. Externally excellent with only minor shelf wear and a minor darkening to the spine, minor soiling to the boards. The dust wrapper is unclipped and sound with minor shelf wear and some sunning to the spine, some chipping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound, the pages are bright and clean, unopened. Fully illustrated in colour and gold.
