First edition of Olympialaiset 1928 by Yrjo Halme in the original publisher's cloth binding. 

An official commentary and overview of the 1928 Olympics in Amsterdam and Finnish performance. 

Yrjo Halme was a sport commentator, and brother to Juho Halme, a Finnish track and field athlete and fellow journalist who was executed during the Finnish Civil War. 

Densely illustrated throughout the text with monochrome photography.

A scarce work with no copies held in UK libraries.

Prior owner's book plate to the first pastedown. From the library of Jaako Ollila.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, very smart. There is some slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Prior owner's book plate to the first pastedown.  Internally, firmly bound. The pages are very bright and clean, with only some light age toning.
