Commonly called the Yellow Book, this important work is the report of the British Liberal Party's Industrial Inquiry of 1928. It is divided into five sections: "The Condition of British Industry"; "The Organisation of Business"; "Industrial Relations"; "National Development"; "National Finance".
David Lloyd George, Leader of the Liberal Party from 1926, instigated an enquiry on Britain's economy during the post-war depression. Members of the Liberal Industrial Inquiry included Lloyd George, Ernest Simon, John Maynard Keynes, Seebohm Rowntree, Philip Kerr, and Charles Masterman, among others. Their research and debate led to this report, published on 2nd February 1928. It has since been used as a textbook in universities.

Condition
In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally, sound, with a little soiling to the wraps and creasing to the spine. Tears to the head and tail of the backstrip of the spine, causing it to lift a little to the tail of the spine. Tear to the fold of the rear flyleaf. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for the odd handling mark and occasional pencil mark or inscription.
