What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Illustrated, Leather Binding, Limited Edition, Publishers' Original Binding

A limited edition of one hundred and fifty-five copies, this copy is out of series and unnumbered.

A collection of the work of Robert Eyres Landor, an Anglican cleric who was renowned for his reluctance to claim credit for his own work, so much so that his popular 1824 drama, 'The Count Arezzi', was at the time attributed to Lord Byron.

Landor was the brother of Walter Savage Landor, and wrote a proto sci-fi novel, titled 'The Fountain of Arethusa'.

Illustrated with one plate.

Edited with a biographical introduction by Eric Partridge, a noted lexicographer.

Condition

In the original publisher's half vellum binding, with paper to the boards. Vellum is lightly discoloured and marked, as is usual to see. A few minor marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
