The first edition of this poetry anthology. 

Milne was a prolific author and is now best-remembered for his creation of Winnie-The-Pooh and his many friends. This set of best-selling works comprises of two poetry collections, 'Now We Are Six' and 'When We Were Very Young'. 'Now We are Six' contains thirty-five verses, eleven of which are accompanied by illustrations featuring Winnie-The-Pooh. 

illustrated by E H Shepard, a popular twentieth century illustrator whose pen and ink drawings were featured in all of Milne's works.

A charming work, and fantastic opportunity to own a very smart copy of this children's work featuring a much-loved character.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Light fading to the spine. Bumping to the head of spine. Inscription to the half-title 'Rachel Lee from her Father January 1928'. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with the occasional light spots.
