First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

A lovely collection of thirty-five verses for children by A. A. Milne, extremely popular English author for children, mostly known for his stories featuring the characters of Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends. 

The first edition of 1927. This collection is comprised of poems such as 'King John's Christmas,' 'Binker,' and 'Pinkle Purr.' With an endearing introduction by the author, reflecting on the subjects of his early verse written from the point of view of a child. 

With charming decorations by Ernest H. Shepard; some of the poems include illustrations of Winnie.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally lovely with only minor shelf wear and a minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities; the cloth to the spine has slightly faded. Internally, the binding is only tender to the odd leaf, otherwise firmly bound throughout. The pages are bright and clean. With charming decorations by Ernest H. Shepard; some of the poems include illustrations of Winnie.
