What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Signed, Very Scarce, With Dustwrapper

Signed by the author to the title page, and with the illustrator's signature tipped in to the verso of front endpaper.  It is uncommon to have both signatures in a trade copy of a Milne work.

This best-selling work is a poetry collection and contains thirty-five verses, eleven of which are accompanied by illustrations featuring Winnie-The-Pooh.

With the scarce dustwrapper in a lovely condition. Professional repairs to the extremities and to a closed tear at the front wrap are almost imperceptible.

Milne was a prolific author and is now best-remembered for his creation of Winnie-The-Pooh and his many friends.

Illustrated by E H Shepard, a popular twentieth century illustrator whose recognisable pen and ink drawings were featured in all of Milne's works.

A charming work, and fantastic opportunity to own an excellent copy of this children's work featuring a much-loved character.

Condition

In the publisher's original red cloth binding. With original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, in a very bright condition. Minor shelfwear to the head and tail of spine as well as to the extremities. The smallest portion of fading to the head and tail of spine. Dustwrapper appears fine externally due to restoration to spine and extremities. Repair to a closed tear at the front wrap. Otherwise, only a few light marks to wrapper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with just the occasional light spots. Minor offsetting to the half-title.
