Third edition, published the same year as the first. Illustrated throughout. A collection of thirty-five poems for children, eleven of which feature Winnie-the-Pooh illustrations. Titles include: King John's Christmas, Sneezles, Binker, Buttercup Days, Furry Bear, and more. Written by Alan Alexander Milne, an English writer best known for his books about the teddy bear Winnie-the-Pooh, as well as for children's poetry. Illustrated by Ernest Howard Shepard, an English artist and book illustrator.
Condition
In the original red cloth binding. Externally, smart with rubbing to the extremities. Light fading to the spine and the board edges. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot or handling mark. Age toning to the endpapers. Previous owner's bookplate and contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper dated 1927.
