A lovely little almanac decorated with colourful illustration by Victorian artist Kate Greenaway.
Greenaway was known for her drawings of children in imaginary eighteenth century costumes in a Queen Anne style, so much so that only a few years after the publication of her first book, her work was imitated in England, Germany, and the United States.
Profusely illustrated in colour throughout by Kate Greenaway.
Condition
In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding with illustrated paper over boards. Externally, lovely. Inscribed by a previous owner to the front free endpaper, dated 1927. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Profusely illustrated in colour throughout by Kate Greenaway.
