A fascinating work of genealogy, in which Charles Edward Banks details the English ancestry of Henry Adams, and J. Gardiner Bartlett provides information on his American descendants. Henry Adams was the English ancestor of two American presidents of the same surname. This work was compiled for the American businessman Edward Dean Adams (1846-1931), by J. Gardiner Bartlett (1872-1927), a prominent American genealogist who focused on New England and the English origins of colonial families.
Condition
In a cloth binding. Externally very smart, with just a little bumping to the extremities and a small label to the spine. Gilt remains bright. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean with the odd spot.
