What Our Customers Say...
Description
Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding
This delightful picture book published by Country Life magazine was designed to offer inspiration to gardeners. Comprised of twenty one sections, this volume provides sections on gates, paving stones, steps, urns, orangeries, canals, lakes, bridges, sundials, and seats, introduced by Gertrude Jekyll and Christopher Hussey. Whilst Jekyll was a prominent horticulturalist, Christopher Hussey was an authority on domestic British architecture, and goes into detail about the relationship between house and garden. The second edition is essentially a rewrite of the first, and offers a new section on overgrowth.
Condition
