Containing sixteen essays, which include 'Old Bee Books', 'Garden Music', 'The Charm of the Sundial', 'The Elizabethan Garden', 'Gardens of the Pharoahs', and 'Oxford Gardens'.

Eleanour Sinclair Rohde was a British gardener and horticultural writer best known for promoting herb gardens and increasing their popularity. She wrote for The Field, My Garden, The Cornhill Magazine and The Queen.

The first edition of this work, complete with a scarce dust wrapper.

Condition

In the publisher's original quarter cloth binding with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart, with just some slight minor wear. Dust wrapper is a little chipped to the head and tail of the spine, with a closed tear to the tail of the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
