Description

Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

The thirteenth edition of this delightful collection of children's poetry by A. A. Milne, illustrated by Ernest Shephard. First published in 1924, this best-selling book of poetry features the first appearance of Winnie-the-Pooh in the poem 'Teddy Bear'. Both Milne and Shephard are best-known for Winnie -the - Pooh, but Milne was primarily a playwright before the huge success of the children's story overshadowed his previous work.

Condition

In the publisher's original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart. A little bumped to the head and tail of the spine, with some marginal wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Aside from some light offsetting to the endpapers, pages are bright and clean throughout.
