    The second edition of this work, which was first published in 1908. This edition was revised and updated by J. E. Dollman.

    Retaining the front wrap, front flyleaf, and back strip of the very scarce publisher's original dust wrapper.

    With vignette and full page illustrations throughout.

    A fascinating work covers the natural history of both large and small game animals.

    Includes hunting anecdotes related by numerous renowned sportsmen.

    With two former owner's inscriptions, both dated 1937, to a front blank.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original cloth binding, with back strip and front wrap of dust wrapper also present. Light shelf wear to back strip tail, with a touch of fading to perimeters of front board. Otherwise, externally excellent. Dust wrapper front wrap, back strip, and front flyleaf present. Back strip age toned. Small loss of paper to front wrap and back strip head, and back strip tail. Horizontal closed tears to back strip. Significant tape repair to dust wrapper reverse, to fold over front joint, and back strip head and tail. Former owner's inscriptions to a front blank. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
