What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

The first edition in book form of this vanishingly scarce work.

'Speed' was originally published in 'Saturday Evening Post'. The story published in 'Post' formed the basis of a 1925 silent comedy drama film of the same name, starring Betty Blythe, Pauline Garon, and Arthur Rankin.

This thriller by Grace Sartwell Mason follow a middle aged couple who, after being described as 'old fashioned' by their children, decide to buy a car. They plan a trip out West, and set out on an adventure which involves  a kidnapping, a holdup, and a dramatic car chase.

Mason was an American author and journalist.
