In the publisher's original cloth binding. Cheesman collected over 300 specimens from the Al-Ahsa Oasis during this journey, which are now held in the British Museum. He was the first to map the Arabian coast from the Gulf of Salwah to Uqair. Illustrated throughout, with a frontispiece, 66 plates and three maps including one large folding plate to the rear. Collated, complete. A very bright copy of this work, with the large map unblemished.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart with bumping to the head and tail of spine. Light rubbing to the head and tail of spine, extremities and joints. Internally, firmly bound. Offsetting to the half-title. Pages are very bright and otherwise clean.
