This copy is one of two hundred and fifty large paper copies. Hugh Walpole was a British novelist, critic, and dramatist, renowned for his skill at scene-setting and his extensive romantic invention. Walpole's output was large and varied, with the writer producing at least one book every year since his first novel 'The Wooden Horse' published in 1909. At his death in 1941, Walpole had published thirty-six novels, five volumes of short stories, two original plays and three volumes of memoirs., ranging from disturbing studies of the macabre, to children's stories to historical fiction.

Condition

In a cloth binding. Externally, sound. Some rubbing to extremities and spine. Internally, firmly bound. Author's signature to first page. Uncut pages between half-title and title page. Cut and uncut pages throughout. Pages bright and clean.
